Nature Connects Art with LEGO Bricks

In my last post — "The News Girl" — I shared some really exciting news. I recently accepted a position as the Arts & Entertainment Editor for the local newspaper.

Since I started this position, I've had some of the most amazing opportunities. Just in the last couple of months I've visited Epcot for Flower & Garden, SeaWorld for the Seven Seas Food Festival, LEGOLAND for the opening of its first virtual reality roller coaster, Runaway Country Music Festival, Aquatica for a preview of the new Ray Rush Ride coming this spring, Margaritaville Resort Orlando for a construction tour, and MUCH more.

One of my first assignments was at Leu Gardens to cover the Nature Connects Art with LEGO Bricks exhibit. This art exhibit features more than a dozen nature sculptures, made completely from LEGO bricks.

The artist nor the exhibit are in any way, shape or form affiliated with LEGO. However, LEGO says the artist is their best customer.

The gardens are absolutely stunning. I had never been there before, but I definitely plan to return. I would love to see everything in full bloom.

The director, Robert, is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He gave the newspaper photographer and I a private golf cart tour, and really went into depth in many areas of the gardens.

Nature Connects Art with LEGO Bricks will run through April 22, so there's still some time to catch it! In the meantime, click here to read my full story and to see more photos from the exhibit.
