A Look Inside: Toy Story Land

Have I mentioned how awesome my job is?

Last week I had the opportunity to preview Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios, in part of a special media-only event. (Awesome, right?)

I had the chance to explore Andy's backyard before the crowds took over, as wait times just to get IN to the new land exceeded 300 minutes on opening day (June 30).

Toy Story Land has brought two new attractions to Hollywood Studios with its opening: Alien Swirling Saucers and Slinky Dog Dash.

Alien Swirling Saucers is set up like the play set that Andy won at Pizza Planet. The aliens are ready to take you for a spin on their interstellar ride. (And trust me, you will spin...)

I rode Alien Swirling Saucers at night, and its nighttime, multi-colored spotlights made the experience even more fun!

I'm not much of a coaster girl, so I opted out of riding Slinky Dog Dash. But whether you're ready to brave the coaster or not, definitely check out the waiting queue. It's full of all kinds of toy-related elements, plus lots of Toy Story fun! You can see giant board games, Rex's box, price tags from Al's Toy Barn and more.

Woody's Lunch Box is the place to eat at Toy Story Land. The menu features a ton of "lunch box" -themed items, such as sandwiches and snacks. This location has a walk-up, quick-service window, and only offers outdoor seating.

Before you go, don't forget to stop by and say "Hi!" to Woody and his friends. Woody, Buzz and Jessie are available for autograph signing and photo opps throughout the day, in designated meet-and-greet areas.
